Hair Products: Curling Wand: T3 (1.5″ barrel) | Blowout Spray: Oribe | Texture Spray: Oribe | Hairspray: R+Co

Well now that spring is right around the corner, I am SO excited for warmer weather but not so excited for the humidity that comes along with it. There’s nothing worse than spending 45 minutes perfecting my curls, then walking outside for them to fall flat in under a minute! While there’s no way to 100% guarantee this won’t happen, I thought I would share some products with y’all today that have certainly helped! I’m going to warn you… most of these products are splurge items, but I believe when it comes to hair care, it’s so worth it! If some of these products are a little too much of a splurge for you, Nordstrom has TONS of different brands of hair products that you can shop here. When I’m trying to stick to a budget, I just go to the price option on the left sidebar and select the price range that I want to stay in!

The first, and in my opinion the most important thing that I recommend is to have a high quality curling iron/wand. I recently switched to a T3 because SO many of my friends/other bloggers recommended it and I have truly noticed a difference (I use the 1.5″ barrel.) I can curl my hair on Monday and not even have to touch up on Tuesday because the curls still look amazing!

If you have problems with your hair frizzing and not staying smooth, you have to try the Oribe Blowout Spray. I apply this before I dry my hair and not only does it help with frizz, but is also cuts my dry time in half (hallelujah!!!)

I always like to have volume in my hair, so to keep it from falling flat in the humidity, I use a texture spray by Oribe (lol that rhymed.) If you like to have textured waves, instead of perfect curls, you will LOVE this product! I actually bring it to photoshoots with me to touch up in between looks.

Last, but certainly not least, you’ll need a good hairspray to finish off your look. As I said in my previous post, I was in Charleston last weekend (which is also a humid city) and I was with one of my friends from LA. She didn’t even pack hairspray because she wasn’t used to that type of weather at all. I can’t even imagine never having to use hairspray since I use it every single day! I have tried TONS of different hair sprays and my current favorite is the Structure Hold Setting Spray by R+Co!

I hope some of these tips help you have the best hair day!! Y’all have a great rest of the week (:

A couple weekends ago, I got to go to Charleston for the first time! I have always heard so many amazing things about this town, so I was excited to see what the hype was about. It’s safe to say Charleston did not disappoint! The entire town is so picturesque, everyone is friendly, and the food & drinks are amazing!

My friend, Hilary, invited a bunch of blogger babes to stay at The Inns Charleston and it was a BLAST! I’m not gonna lie, I was a little nervous about 10 bloggers being under one roof for an entire weekend, but luckily it was the best group of girls and we had SO much fun. Also, staying in the most beautiful southern mansion didn’t hurt either! If you’re planning a trip to Charleston, I would HIGHLY recommend checking out this house. It is three stories so you can rent out the entire thing or you can rent just one floor. Every room has individual locks on it and every floor has living room and kitchen space. You can check out their website here.

Over the weekend, we ate at some amazing restaurants (always my favorite part about trips lol.) The most recommended place to try was Poogan’s Porch and I can definitely see why.. the brunch was amazing! We also went to The Darling Oyster Bar and Juliet, which were great as well! For drinks after dinner, we went to Prohibition, which was a really fun hangout spot!

If you are planning a trip to Charleston and have any questions about anything, please feel free to reach out (:

A Lip For All Seasons

Lip: Stila “Baci” | Lip Liner: Stila “Zinfandel” | Sweater: Free People | Shorts: GRLFRND | Shoes: Similar | Bracelet: Similar

If you know me at all, you know that Stila Baci is my absolute favorite lippy!! I started wearing this color last spring, and found that I continued to wear it all through fall and winter as well. Although I like switching it up with bright colors in the spring and darker colors in the fall, I love having a good color I can always count on. This lipstick is very matte (which I love), but it can dry out your lips, so I recommend using a primer first. I have also found that using a lip exfoliator before applying any products keeps my lips smooth and helps prevent the color from flaking off.

I went on a girls trip to Charleston last weekend (SO much fun), and this was definitely one of my favorite/most comfortable outfits I wore. I love pairing sweaters with shorts to create transitional outfits for spring. All of the pieces from my outfit and my makeup products are from Nordstrom. As I’ve said before, it’s so convenient being able to get everything at one place!

I hope everyone has a fabulous week!

Galentine’s Day Look

Bodysuit: Express | Jeans: Express | Heels: Similar

Dede’s top: Express | Jeans: Express

What’s Galentine’s Day?! “Oh, it’s only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies”- Leslie Knope.

This little holiday started a few years ago and I think it’s absolutely genius! Being single around Valentine’s Day can be hard, so I love that this day was created just to celebrate friendship. To be honest, this past year has been rough on my dating life, but I can’t tell y’all how thankful I am for Dede. No matter how many times I send her novel text messages or call her bawling crying in the middle of the night, she is ALWAYS there for me, which means more than she will ever know. I’m getting teary eyed writing this cause I truly don’t know how I would’ve gotten through the past year without her. Dede Raad, you have the absolute biggest heart and I love you so stinkin’ much!!!

Okay, now on to something a little more light hearted.. the clothes!! Dede and I both got our outfits from Express, and the first thing I want to talk about is our jeans. If you have never bought a pair of jeans from Express, you are seriously missing out!! First, they have a huge selection to choose from (if you love distressed denim, there are tons of options!!) Second, all of their jeans are under $100, and such good quality, which I feel like is so hard to find. I’ve had a few pairs of Express jeans for a couple years now, and they have all held up very well!

For the top, I went for something a little more form-fitting (I kind of feel like Khloe Kardashian in a bodysuit haha), and Dede went for a relaxed tee. I feel like either option would be great for a Galentine’s Day get together!

Active Wear with Ebay

lululemon lululemon lululemon lululemon lululemon lululemon lululemon lululemon lululemon

Pants: Lululemon (also love these) | Top: Similar (also love this one) | Shoes: Adidas

Growing up, I was always the girl who loved to get dolled up. All throughout high school, I dressed up every single day. If I ever wore a t-shirt to school (which was RARE), all of my teachers would comment on it because it was so unusual.

When I got to college, nobody EVER dressed up for class. Luckily, I was warned about this beforehand, or I would’ve showed up on the first day of school dressed to the nines. There were two outfits that were socially acceptable in college: an oversized t-shirt and leggings, or workout wear. It’s safe to say I chose the workout wear (not that I worked out, I just thought they were cuter!) Lululemon has always been my favorite, but on a college budget, I couldn’t really afford it. One of my friends had always raved about Ebay and how she bought all of her name brand clothes at a discounted price, so I decided to give it a try! I’m not gonna lie, I was a little hesitant at first, but what I have found is that you just have to go for high quality brands! Most active wear that I buy from Ebay is Lululemon because even if it’s pre-owned, the quality lasts for such a long time. After getting so many pieces at such low prices, I have a really hard time going to the store and paying full price.

Now that I’m out of college, I still wear workout clothes everyday, but for a different reason… actually working out (LOL.) When I said goodbye to college, I also said goodbye to my fast metabolism. I now have a greater appreciation for high quality active wear because it makes a world of a difference when working out. I still buy majority of my workout clothes from Ebay cause I’ve had such good experiences with it over the past 5 years, so why pay full price?!

If you are shopping on Ebay for the first time and have any questions, here are some fun facts that I found super interesting!

  • 81% of all merchandise sold on Ebay is new and available with the “Buy it Now” button (no bidding necessary)
  • 69% of items ship for free… who doesn’t love free shipping?!
  • There are approximately 1.1 billion listings at any given time (AKA you’re bound to find something you love!)

If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out! I hope everyone has a fabulous week!

Skin Care + Self-Tanning Routine

Swim Suit Top: Amuse Society (also love this one)| Swim Suit Bottoms: Amuse Society (also love these)| Shorts: 7 For All Mankind

A few years ago, I was the type of girl of never washed my face (ew), tanned in a tanning bed, and never really took care of my skin. I always thought “I’m young, I’ll just start taking care of it once I’m older”. This was obviously the worst way to handle my skin. Even though I’m only 23, I know what I do now will heavily impact the way me skin is when I’m older, which is why I’ve completely changed my skin care routine.

The first thing I did was actually start washing my face at night. I would get in the worst habit of being too lazy to wash my face before bed, which is SO bad for your skin. I started using this cleanser by Tula, which leaves my skin feeling so fresh and clean! I just apply it with my hands, but I really want to get a Clarisonic because I’ve heard they’re amazing. If you use one, let me know how you like it!!

The next thing I did was ditch the tanning bed for SO many reasons (ummm cancer, wrinkles, sun spots.. no thank you!). When I first stopped, I would get spray tans weekly. While I liked the color, I didn’t like how it would rub off unevenly. I then started using St. Tropez “Gradual Tan Everyday Body Lotion”. I absolutely LOVE the color of this lotion and it really doesn’t come off streaky. It says “everyday” on the bottle, but I only use it three times a week and always have good color. If I’m going on a trip or want to have a lot of color for an event, I use the St. Tropez Classic Bronzing Mousse (which is what I have on right now). Since we’re in Miami, I wanted to be extra dark, which is why I used the mousse instead of lotion. I will say, if not applied right, the mousse can look streaky. Just make sure you apply evenly ALL over. Definitely apply it in good lighting and while looking in the mirror so that you don’t miss any spots.

Aside from washing my face and quitting the tanning bed, I’ve also been doing a better job at keeping my skin moisturized. I have super dry skin, which means I will develop wrinkles easier (UGH). I’ve added two products into my routine that I am obsessed with! The first is definitely a splurge, but so worth it!! I had heard amazing things about La Mer products from several different people, but didn’t know if it would be worth the money. I was walking through Nordstrom (lol, whats new), and saw that they carry La Mer so I stopped and asked the salesperson for a little more information on the products. She was very helpful and walked me through all the different products and their benefits. She then gave me a few samples to try out at home before making that big purchase. After using the Moisturizing Soft Cream for a few days, I had to go back and get the full size because it worked SO well. Again, I know it’s a splurge, but it’s worth every penny! I apply this product in the morning.

I also added a moisturizing mask by NARS to my nightly routine, and this products is definitely more budget-friendly. After I wash my face, I apply this mask and leave it on overnight. I love waking up with my face looking nice and glowy (I don’ think glowy is a word, but we’re just gonna go with it!).

I hope everyone has a great rest of the week!!
