As the first high-fashion model to wear a hijab on runways around the world, 20-year-old Somali-American Halima Aden (@kinglimaa) recognizes the importance of embracing differences. “My childhood taught me to dream beyond borders,” says Halima, who was born in a refugee camp in Kenya and grew up in St. Cloud, Minnesota. “When we are stripped of everything, we find that we are all the same.” Halima’s choice to wear her hijab has made fashion headlines — and, she hopes, motivated others. “My hijab represents my own definition of modesty and freedom to dress how I like,” she says. “It has allowed me to inspire young women everywhere to pursue their dreams while still upholding their values.”

  1. Hijab has a significant importance in Islam as it is a required dress of ladies. It has limited ways to make yourself stylish, but as women are always thoughtful about fashions. That’s why, there are many Muslim girls like Halima that are Islamic clothes trend maker without crossing guidelines laid down by Islam.
