One Room Challenge Fall + Week Three

Ok, folks. Third week of ORC is here, and I promise that we are making great strides! We have yet to start on construction, but everything is officially ordered. I’m thrilled with every single piece of this room! Because the biggest change will be in the molding and paint, construction won’t take too long. Next week you will see some fun changes!

So, here’s my final decision on paint. I’ve mentioned that we are going to be doing some fun trim work. We will be painting all of the trim and lower wall in this gorgeous Inchyra Blue from Farrow & Ball. Everything else will be painted in All White.

Another fun decision was drapes. My in-laws have a lovely large window that I want to frame in a thick, dramatic drape. I chose these velvet drapes in off white. I love white on off white and I LOVE velvet, so it’s a win win.

See more about that lovely pendant below.

I forgot to mention that they have a small entryway that is attached to the living room. We will be giving it a small makeover as well. This rug will immediately change that small space! And this flush mount light is simple yet stylish and will give the right amount of light. Also, every entryway needs a gold mirror, right??

Here’s where we currently stand with the design.

Like I said before, everything is ordered and ready to go. This isn’t the exact arrangement of the space, but it gives you an idea of what we are going to be dealing with. This rug from The Mine will cover a lot of the space. This is mostly because we are covering up carpet, so I wanted to get as big of a rug as I could.

Let’s talk about that lighting! This pendant from Craft Made is EVERYTHING. We will be hanging it next week, and I promise that it’s going to enhance that space beautifully!

I am pretty excited about my table selections. The coffee table, marble side table and gold side table are all from Overstock. I think that all three will work perfectly together.

Two new chairs that I introduced to the design are these linen arm chairs. I really wanted to give my in-laws a modern twist on traditional, and I think these chairs are perfect for that!

Of course every living space needs fantastic throw pillows. I chose two pillows from Arriana Belle that I’m obsessed with. They are going to look amazing on the Article sofa.

See you next week!
